Music on the Marr 2011

Found myself in Castle Carrock on Friday and it was rocking, courtesy of Music on the Marr, a delightful festival celebrating some of Cumbria's fine scenery, food, hospitality and music. Lively Folk rockers The Baghdaddies had the floor filled late into the night with their uplifitng and infectious style that people of all ages just couldn't keep still to.

Earlier gems of the night were young Ethan Thomas and Room Full of Owls. Dressed in a customary fleece Ethan had the crowd in the palm of his hand with his fine guitar skills, dry wit and general niceness. See for yourself here:

Other conclusions from the night were that alternative folk rock band from Alston, Room Full of Owls have an awesome name and a nicely sounding debut single:

Nice one Caslte Carrock (home of the best entrance road sign).
