Ashley Fiolek will be giving it everything this weekend in the women's motocross. The emerging sport is fighting for respect and recognition in the shadows of the men's comp but if anyone is going to change people's views then it is Fiolek, 2009 WMX Champion, profoundly deaf since birth, and brimming with talent and charisma.

Tour de France 2011

Tour de France fever is taking over.

Cavendish (HTC - Highroad) took first spot today after a wild and windy 5th Stage, with Welsh man Geraint Thomas (Team Sky) not far behind in fifth. Team Sky leader Bradley Wiggins got caught in a 10 man crash on a day when a number of podium chasing riders suffered collisions. But Team Sky mechanics and riders worked well to ensure Wiggins is only 10 minutes off the lead in sixth place.

125th Wimbledon Championships

You don't need me to tell you that Novak Djokovic crowned a superb first half of the season becoming Wimbledon champion with his 4 set victory over Nadal on Sunday. Neither will it be news to you that the 24 year-old Serbian woke up on Monday morning as world number 1, having won 50 from 51 matches this season. But what may have slipped your memory is Djokovic's 4th round match against the Cypriot that never fails to disappoint; Marcos Baghdatis, what a man.
